Life has been a bit different for the last few weeks...our time has been occupied by two little humans that go by the names of Jude and Genny:

This girl has recently decided that she's a photographer...

Those three photos were taken by her. She also took many, many photos of Jenny and I after making us pose in extremely awkward - and particular - ways. Trust me, you don't want to see those.

On Friday, we met up with my brother, his wife and children for a Summer Reading Program with Super Why.

Jude loves the show, but was terrified to go near the character. However, he was very upset when Wyatt was no longer sitting there. Like aunt, like nephew...

Sunday marked a very special anniversary for Jenny and I: our first trip to NYC. Without the trip we took last summer, I have no idea where we'd be now. Though we had planned to be in the city to celebrate, we ended up being upstate. But we made it fun anyway...even if it rained:

Then, we came home and made vodka-infused chocolate covered strawberries. They're delicious, in case you're wondering.

It's funny how different things are when kids are around. Walking through the house in the dark, killing bugs, etc etc seem so much easier/not as scary? I reckon maybe it's because on some subconscious level a parental mode kicks in and you're forced into being an adult. Whatever the case may be, there's a little boy in my bed and he wasn't quite fooled when I replaced my arm with a stuffed animal. It's time for this auntie to get back into cuddle-mode. Goodnight!!
