Opt For The Unknown

When we were in town a few months ago, Jenny and I ended up wandering down the streets that surrounded our hotel. We happened upon an event called KISS PUNCH POEM and loved it. Though it wasn't originally planned (but what is, really?) we ended up going again, as we were still in town on Sunday night. If you're in town and enjoy a good improv comedy show, I highly recommend it. And if you're looking to mingle afterward, Mustang Sally's - just around the corner - is a great place to do so. However, I'm still upset that they no longer had the Grilled Cheese Pizza that I've been craving for nearly four months now.

When it comes to music, I'm generally pretty hard to impress. However, last week Jenny and I ended up at a bar on the Upper East Side. While sucking down my beloved rum & cokes, we listened to the sweet sounds of Barnaby Saints.

And since we were still in town Monday, we hit up the New Music Seminar at City Winery to see Barnaby Saints again, and discovered another band called Red Wanting Blue.

Seriously, great music, folks. Go check it out.

Oh, and whatever you do, be sure to pray on the subway:
