The First Hunt

Our first hunt is still slow-going. Finding the perfect place is going to take some time...so, it's a good thing we love this city so much.

Last night we had the opportunity to attend the taping of Project Runway. Of course, this encouraged us to hop down the street and into Forever 21. After getting bored of waiting and dumping the hoard of clothes we intended to try on, we ventured back onto the unfortunate streets of Times Square. Not a minute later, Tim Gunn walked by us, which left Jenny with fingerprints on her arm because I squeezed it so tight.
I tend to do that when I get excited.

We walked down to Ellen's Stardust Diner - a favorite of ours - where we proceeded to shove delicious loaded waffle fries into our mouths. When we were done with that, we crossed the street and embraced the opportunity for a photo op:

I was more than a little bit excited by this. I should also mention that I cried while inside the diner because it was in there that I found out that we will be seeing Bob Dylan live in a couple of months.

One of the greatest things about New York is that you can wander outside without a plan in mind and still find ways to fill the day. Today we spent most of our day in Greenwich Village, which is unsurprising to say the least:

Also, I should never be allowed to walk down there when books are being sold again:

After lugging my books back uptown, we were advised to visit an amazing place called Tappo, located on W 24th between 6th and 7th Ave. We proceeded to have the best pizza of all time. Seriously. If you're in the area and you like delicious thin crust pizza - go there. We shared The Big Pineapple, which had bacon, pineapple, tomatoes and basil:

For the first time, ever, we got in early and spent the rest of the night being weird. That's what best friends are for, after all.
